My Espoo on the map resident survey was carried out in the fall of 2020. About 6,600 Espoo residents from different parts of the city responded to the survey. Respondents made approximately 70,000 entries and comments on the map survey. The survey was carried out in cooperation with Aalto University as a survey open to everyone, a sample survey and a survey tailored for children and young people. The questionnaire for children and young people was mainly answered by 6th and 9th graders.

The survey's map markings (excl. home markings) are distributed as open data. The map entries contain information about the question categories of the survey and the main categories of the answers. The material does not contain entries related to the respondents' background information or home, nor the answers written by the respondents themselves. Not all questions have been asked of children and young people.

The map markings related to everyday places and special places also contain information about the mode of transport and experiencing the place.

The location accuracy of map markings received from respondents in a map survey can vary greatly between different respondents. The answers contain both broadly and very precisely marked map markings. The answer data may also contain some unintentionally marked map markings.
