Influence areas of train and metro stations in the Helsinki region along the light traffic road network.

Influence area refers to the area surrounding a station from which there is a shorter distance along the road network to that station than to any other station. The influence area can be regarded as referring to the area around a centre where the activities taking place, such as the search for services or joining the public transport network, are targeted at the centre.

All train and metro stations in the Helsinki region and Siuntio are included, 79 in total. Influence areas have been formed along the light traffic route network, taking into account barriers created by the road network and environment.

The material can be previewed and downloaded from HSY's map service:

Coordinate systems:

• ETRS-GK25 (EPSG:3879). Maintenance coordinate system. The data can also be projected to other coordinates. Other possible coordinates can be found in the GetCapabilities document of the interface service.
