From the dataset abstract

Number of loans at the City of Helsinki library in 1860-2020 as well as the population figures at the same time. The data is partially incomplete in the earlier part of the time series.

From 2020 onwards, number of loans is updated to the dataset Number of loans by location at the City of Helsinki library.

Attributes

• vuosi (year)
• lainaus (amount of books loaned)
• väestö (population of Helsinki)
