From the dataset abstract

Building inventories of various scales produced by the Helsinki City Museum in Lauttasaari, Munkkiniemi, Pohjois-Haaga and Laajasalo.

The dataset includes, for example, basic building information, building designers, developers and contractors, original and current use, building history, protection status, environmental description and information about the building’s façades and special features. The detailed description of the data can be found in the Word file in connection with the dataset.

The location information of buildings includes both their addresses and coordinates. The coordinate system of the dataset is ETRS-GK25.

The building inventory of Lauttasaari was carried out in 2001–2002. The eastern part of Vattuniemi is not included in the inventory.

The building inventory of the Munkkiniemi city district was carried out in two phases. During 2003, the building inventory of Munkkivuori, Niemenmäki and Kuusisaari was completed. The inventory of Vanha-Munkkiniemi was completed in late 2005. The Talinranta residential area has not been inventoried.

The building inventory of Pohjois-Haaga is from 2006.

The inventory of Laajasalo was completed in 2008. It includes buildings that were commissioned before 1940.
