This application visualizes data from Statistics Finland's Municipal Key Figures database with the help of a map tool. By hovering the mouse over an area of the map, you can view the time series of the selected area and a key figure. You can also select more than one region from the map by using the selection tools. There are three regional levels: regions, sub-regions and municipalities. The application retrieves the data automatically through Statistics Finland's API, so it is up to date.
The user can define the appearance of the application as desired. From the top left corner, you can choose the color theme of the site from the numerous Bootstrap themes. The map template and color scale can be selected from the drop-down menus below the map. The theme and type of the timeseries chart can also be changed in the same way.
The service can be used in English, Finnish and Swedish.
